The Red Sea is Red Hot!

My sea, the RED SEA placed second in the Olympics! Well we tied for second with the Caribbean Sea, but its cool cuz we had fun competing with them for as far as spirit! We woke up at 9am, ate breakfast, well I missed it, and then met up with the sea to get siked, then we carried the banner and cheered through the halls of the ship to the union for the opening ceremonies. Our cheer went like this..”the red sea is what? RED HOT, the red sea is what? RED HOT, the red sea is r-e-d RED h-o-t HOT, we cant help but what we’ve got, were bad, we know it, were here to show it, shake what yo momma gave ya (dance) it was cute, it didn’t seem like people were pumped for the Olympics until the opening ceremony, they had a tourch and everything lol, first was the spirit/banner competition (I was the official banner holder, cuz that’s about all I can do in my broken condition lol) then we had the sorta dirty relays, I did the orange pass, we got 75 passes and then they stopped us cuz we woulda been there all day, then the hot dog eating contest, we dominated that one, then applepong and flip cup, then synchronized swimming and some other relays, then we had our Olympic fiesta on deck-it was tacos, I was excited, then the serious and humorous talent shows, ending the day with pub night and the awards/closing ceremony! It was a long day and I though I would be able to get work done in between, but nope, didn’t happen there was way too much going on, but it was lots of fun.

This morning I woke up and went to shower and all I could hear was Sarah saying oh crap oh crap Kate look at this, so I get out of the shower and she had the shades opened and we were 10 ft from land, all day we’ve been sailing through the Kiel canal, so even though we aren’t going to Germany we have front row seats of the country side, the lil Germans in their sail boats keep waving to us and shouting things in German, its smells like a farm outside though, there’s cows and sheep everywhere. The ship is moving so slowly but its cool, an extra added bonus, today the navigator came to global to explain the navigation through this canal and the panama canal and which cruise ships can handle what, we should be out of here by 5pm they say, and supposedly we are arriving in Antwerp early, tomorrow night, but we wont be allowed of the ship till morning.

The nurse called me yesterday to inform me that if all goes according to plan when they meet with the interport people upon arrival in Belgium, I will be going for x-rays in Antwerp on Wednesday, so hopefully everything will work out and I can enjoy the second half of the trip cast free!

One paper down and 2 to go and tomorrow is the global exam so ill be spending the rest of the night studying….catch ya later……xoxox

Hey 2nd place is nothing to be ashamed about CONGRATS! Your description does make it sound like a lot of fun. The Kiel canal sounds really cool too! Keep up the good work - we miss you and love you!
